How we do business:
All horses sold by Night Wind Ranch LLC
are hand picked by the owner Mike Scherer. Horses
are purchased from ranches all over the west, northwest,
and mid-west, and consist of mostly ranch, trail, and/
or roping prospects. Most of these horses have
been raised on a ranch and have been trained to work in
feedlots, doctoring cattle, sorting, or just
good trail riding horses. After they are
brought back to our ranch they are given a week or so to
get used to their new surroundings. At this time
they are evaluated and a plan is put in place for their
time at our ranch. We do not assume
anything. All horse are immediately scheduled for
worming as needed and also have their teeth floated wolf
teeth pulled if needed and sheaths or
teets cleaned. They are then worked in the round
pen and the arena and oval track by our trainers to
determine their conditioning and ability to take
their correct leads, back, and stand quiet when
mounting etc. They are then scheduled for trail
rides. After this is completed we have a pretty
good idea of what each horse can do and what level rider
would be best suited for that particular horse. We
ride daily; in a rotation schedule all of our
stock. The horse is then offered for sale and
sold with a "Soundness
& Ride Ability Affidavit".
We also offer a 1
year soundness affidavit from the date
purchased for $450.00 to be paid for at delivery
only, (Paid for by the
buyer). The buyer has 7 days from the
initial deposit to complete (3) rides,
either on the trails ,oval track, and/or round
pen no exceptions. If the buyer chooses to have a
pre-purchase examination performed, it must be completed
in the 7 day period from initial deposit,
and the buyer waives the 30 day soundness part of
the affidavit. If the buyer has a pre-purchase
examination performed after the (7) day due diligence
period, the examination will not be considered a
"condition of sale" and the buyer waives any right of
redemption. If for any reason your
Veternarain deems the horse unsound by written
notice in the (7 day) due diligence period, you can pick
out another horse from our stock. If you take possession
without a pre- purchase examination only, you have a
30 day Soundness & Ride Ability
Affidavit which states that the horse
is sound and it fits your riding style. If the
buyer wishes to return horse for any rideability issue
in the 30-day period from the date of purchase you must
transport the horse to our facility at your
expense and return the horse to us for (5) days
care paid for by the buyer at a
cost of ($ 5.00) per day no
exceptions. No
refunds If the horse
and buyer have ride-ability issues after purchase
and with in the (30) affivavit the buyer must
demonstrate to Nightwind Ranch LLC those issues and if
Nightwind Ranch LLC cannot correct thru training
either horse and /or buyer a replacement horse will be
found and agreed to by both parties. If Nightwind Ranch
suspect's horse has been feed any high protein feed
(Alfalfa, supplements) of any kind containing 15% or
higher protein level, Nightwind Ranchh LLC will not be
liable for the actions, condition, or temperment of said
horse and relieves it self of any and all responsibilty
regarding that horse'(s) being replaced.
We
are not horse traders, we do not take horses in
trade or buy horses from horse traders, all our horses
are hand picked for sale to our retail customers.
Delivery - We also will
deliver Free of charge within a
30-mile radius of our facilities. Any additional mileage
will be charged $1.85 per mile. No
exceptions.. Mileage will be calculated by
Mapquest from our address to the address of where the
horse will be dalivered.
Paper Work - You will be
given all appropriate paper work i.e.: Bill of sale,
copy most recent of Coggins report, health certificate
(if available), registration papers,
etc.
Our goal is that
you refer us to your friends. The only way you
will feel comfortable doing that is to have a great
buying experience. We want you to feel purchasing
a horse from us, is the best decision you can make, and
we will make every effort to satisfy your
needs. |
